Spring And Summer Wedding Venue Ideas

Blog

If you live in a location that experiences all four seasons and the fluctuating weather that comes with them, it's important to consider your climate when picking the perfect wedding ceremony and reception venue. While summer is a popular time for saying "I do," there are plenty of appealing venue options during the spring months as well.

Instead of dreading the thought of possible bad or cold weather, save yourself the worry by booking a season-appropriate event location as far in advance as possible. Especially popular local venues may fill up months in advance, so reserve your space as soon as you decide it's the one. No matter what time of the year it is, if you're holding your special day outdoors, such as at a friend's home or a park, consider renting an event tent in case of inclement weather. Tents are great for storing and serving meals if you set up seating elements. One of the benefits of choosing a wedding venue according to the season is that you may be able to use the natural surroundings as photo opportunities. This is particularly true if it's an outdoor event. Here are some spring or summer wedding venue location ideas:

Spring

Gardens

Spring is known for being the time of year when gardens and flowering trees begin to take bloom. You can take advantage of both the seasonal sights and scents by holding your wedding in a vibrant garden filled with flowers and other greenery. If the garden is part of a local attraction, work with the event management team to reserve your day, and inquire if they offer any private indoor space as well. You may be able to set up tables and chairs amongst the greenery at mealtime. If it's still chilly in the springtime where you live, there are indoor botanical gardens as well. You can still take in the seasonal splendor while staying warm.

Summer

Beach

During the nice, verdant summer months, you'll have the largest pick of wedding venues, but none will be as romantic as a beach. Whether you live near an ocean or lake, you'll have a photogenic backdrop on your big day. You can either rent space at a state park, or at a private beach resort, depending on your budget and resources. In either case, you'll need to figure out logistics, such as seating arrangements, catering, and live music if you want to provide entertainment.

There is a multitude of other spring and summer wedding venues. Don't be afraid to think outside of the box.
